Camp Happy Place, an overnight camp for children ages 8-14, provides a fun and safe community for children who have had a parent or guardian pass away as a result of addiction.
Our campers strengthen and discover skills they never knew they had, face challenges head-on, and form bonds that will last a lifetime, all with the guidance of our supportive and all-volunteer staff.
My daughter Aerie lost her father to addiction. One of the hardest questions she is asked by her peers is, “How did your dad die?” At Camp Happy Place, she didn’t have to explain. She got to just be a kid with other kids who understood.
